Silicon Validation Triage Engineer

As a Silicon Validation Triage Engineer at Apple, you'll be part of the Apple SOC Silicon Validation Team. Your role involves using your knowledge of SOC/IP design, debug features, and related tools to drive failures to resolution. You'll debug failures from validation, software checkout, or factory screening that appear to be Silicon issues or require Silicon expertise to root cause.

Key responsibilities include:

• Quickly processing incoming units that failed software tests believed to be hardware-related
• Efficiently narrowing down failures from system-level to subsystem- and block-level using various debug tools and techniques
• Using diagnostic software tools from content experts
• Enhancing and maintaining debug/triage methodology and associated automation scripts
• Working with experts from various teams to understand SoC and system behavior

You'll work at the intersection of hardware and software, partnering with engineers to quickly root cause failures. Additionally, you'll drive systematic improvements in debug methods, tools, and features based on your findings and expertise.

The ideal candidate should have a system-level understanding of CPU/SoC architecture, DRAM/memory, and boards, as well as experience with Silicon chip bringup, validation, and debug.
