Site Reliability Engineer - Payments

Apple's Wallet, Payments & Commerce (WPC) Engineering Operations team is seeking talented Site Reliability Engineers to join their dynamic team. The WPC organization manages everything in Apple Wallet and all payment systems at Apple, including the Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Stores worldwide, and the App Store. The team also develops the infrastructure for Tap to Pay on iPhone, enabling iPhones to function as payment terminals.

As an SRE, you'll be deeply involved in the entire software development lifecycle, working in a fast-paced environment with hands-on coding of critical system components. The role requires strong collaboration with privacy, security, quality, and testing teams. The ideal candidate should have experience with Java or JVM-based languages and expertise in developing highly available, high-throughput distributed systems.

The team works with cutting-edge technologies including workflow orchestration, various database systems, message queuing, and application container orchestration.
