Description For SoC DFT Engineer

As a DFT engineer at Apple, you'll be part of the Silicon Technologies group, responsible for designing and manufacturing next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. You'll work on the complete DFT solution for design projects, with responsibilities spanning all aspects of semiconductor design. This includes developing and implementing DFT architecture, working with various teams on verification, test vector generation, and silicon bring-up. You'll collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and have a critical impact on delivering functional products to millions of customers quickly.

  • Generate structural test vectors and improve coverage
  • Work with designers on STA, physical, power, and logical issues
  • Collaborate with test engineers for silicon bring-up

Responsibilities For SoC DFT Engineer

  • Develop and implement DFT architecture
  • Implement DFT infrastructure
  • Work with DV team to verify DFT implementations and implement ECOs
  • Generate structural test vectors and analyze/improve coverage
  • Collaborate with designers on STA, physical, power, and logical issues
  • Work with test engineers to bring up test vectors on silicon
  • Manage schedules and support multi-functional engineering efforts

Requirements For SoC DFT Engineer

  • BS degree
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of industrial standards and practices in DFT, including ATPG, JTAG, MBIST
  • Experience developing DFT specifications and driving DFT architecture
  • Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL
  • Understanding of design verification (DV) methodologies
  • Experience in debugging Compressed ATPG patterns, MBIST, and JTAG/1500 related issues
  • Experience with STA constraints development and analysis for DFT modes
  • Ability to conduct experiments during silicon debug and analyze data
