Description For SoC Silicon Reliability Engineer

Apple's Silicon Technologies group is seeking a SoC Silicon Reliability Engineer to join their innovative team. This role is crucial in designing and manufacturing next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. The position offers an opportunity to work on technology that powers Apple's iconic devices including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, AirPods, and HomePod.

The role involves working with cross-functional teams and subcontractors to ensure the successful introduction and reliability of new Application Processor products. You'll be responsible for driving product qualification, reliability testing, and failure analysis, while implementing quality improvement processes with suppliers. The position requires deep expertise in silicon and packaging technologies, along with experience in reliability testing and failure analysis.

Responsibilities For SoC Silicon Reliability Engineer

  • Drive SoC/AP product, process and package qualification and reliability tests
  • Drive Failure analysis during product or package qualification
  • Apply JEDEC quality related standards, ISO and the science behind them
  • Implement ongoing quality improvement processes working with the suppliers
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and subcontractors
  • Coordinate the introduction of new AP products and ensure product manufacturability

Requirements For SoC Silicon Reliability Engineer

  • BS with 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of reliability fail modes of silicon / packaging technologies
  • Experience with reliability HW and Stress Pattern setups
  • Experience with life, environmental, ESD, Latch-Up testing
  • Familiar with preparation for Qualification including BIB/Socket, waveform, electrical bias, thermal effect, lifetime estimation
  • Device Reliability FA experience
  • Experience driving foundries for product reliability issues
