Description For SoC Small Cores Engineering Program Manager

We're seeking a SoC Small Cores Engineering Program Manager to join our Hardware team in delivering critical support infrastructure for our custom non-Application Processors (AP) of our groundbreaking SoCs. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, requiring a deep understanding of SoC design and software frameworks.

As a Small Cores EPM, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating the development of custom processor cores, working with multiple teams across hardware and software domains. You'll need to understand various IP's in the SoC, manage software lineage, and ensure optimal performance and area efficiency.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including potential transitions to newer open-source architectures like RISCV. You'll be responsible for developing processes, managing risks, and coordinating debug support across software and RTL environments.

Responsibilities For SoC Small Cores Engineering Program Manager

  • Align, manage and track the HW/SW instances of Apple's custom non-Application Processor (AP) cores
  • Ensure uniform, supportable and auditable flow from SoC design to final revision
  • Coordinate activities across multi-functional partners in SoC Architecture and Core SW
  • Manage risks/mitigation/schedules/timelines for transitions of existing cores architectures
  • Develop processes and aid in debug support for verifying SW/FW lineage

Requirements For SoC Small Cores Engineering Program Manager

Linux
  • BS in engineering discipline and 10+ years relevant experience
  • Experience in Silicon development
  • Validation technical program management or multi-functional management experience
  • Excellent partnership, collaboration and social skills
  • Creative and critical thinking abilities to proactively solve issues
  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
