Software Engineer (SRE Tools & Automation), IS&T Enterprise Systems

Apple's Service Management & GCRM team is seeking a SRE/DevOps lead engineer to manage production support for multiple global applications, deploy product components, enable developer productivity, and implement CICD integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production monitoring, readiness, system health measurement, incident management, and operations excellence. They will be responsible for building scalable cloud infrastructure that is highly reliable, secure, and responsive.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing large-scale production outages and leading incident response
• Architecting and building reliable, available, secure, and performant infrastructure
• Strategizing and achieving operational excellence in global distributed systems
• Implementing production monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting systems
• Building and maintaining CI-CD infrastructure
• Leading a team of 10 highly skilled engineers
• Automating routine tasks and utilizing AI & ML models for operations excellence
• Providing guidance to improve system stability, efficiency, and scalability
• Determining future capacity needs and working with engineering teams to improve reliability

The role requires expertise in containerization, orchestration technologies, high-level programming languages, and storage technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, MongoDB, AWS S3, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
