Apple's Health team is seeking an exceptional software engineering leader to guide the development of new health software features on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This role involves leading a small team of engineers to build rich experiences and shape the product roadmap for health-related features. The position requires strong technical, communication, and project management skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining product features, functional specs, resource planning, and development schedules
  • Scoping and prioritizing features and bug fixes
  • Representing the team and its technology in technical and project meetings
  • Advising and encouraging engineering best practices to deliver quality features
  • Defining and growing a diverse and world-class engineering team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams
  • A track record of building diverse and strong teams
  • Experience launching high-quality consumer products
  • Technical expertise in native iOS development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through constraints and ambiguity
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for designing and implementing outstanding user interfaces and customer experiences
  • Development experience on watchOS or similar platforms
  • An understanding and passion for wellness or medical concepts
