Software Quality Engineer, Mobile Apps - Retail Engineering

The Mobile Apps team at Apple is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of applications used by millions of customers daily. This role involves understanding and analyzing requirements, creating and executing test plans, and providing clear information to Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with advanced iOS experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understanding and analyzing requirements
• Creating and executing test plans and test cases
• Providing clear, concise information to Engineering teams
• Interacting with teams across Apple, including iOS software and hardware engineering, Apple Online Store, and Apple Retail
• Working in a fast-paced environment that relies on strong communication and building partnerships

The role requires:

• 5+ years of experience in testing
• Deep understanding of software QA methodologies & practices
• Skilled at debugging, troubleshooting, and applying analytical thinking
• Knowledge of Client/Server Architecture and mobile E-Commerce domain
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks
• MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications include:

• iOS Mobile Application testing experience
• Ability to balance multiple efforts and meet strict deadlines
• Ownership of quality for a complete functional area
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in global, cross-functional teams
• Proven bug detection and regression skills

Apple offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, stock options, and educational reimbursement opportunities. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $205,500, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
