Description For Sr. Equipment and Process Development Engineer

Apple's Display Technologies Organization is seeking a senior process development engineer to join their Panel Process and Optics Engineering team. Responsibilities For Sr. Equipment and Process Development Engineer

  • Lead new equipment and process development for optical modules
  • Convert incubation technologies and proof-of-concept equipment into scalable solutions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, modify, test, and qualify equipment
  • Be responsible for DOE planning empirical trials and data analysis
  • Lead communication with cross-functional team and executives
  • Evaluate and assess new EQ suppliers
  • 10-20% international travel to work with vendors in factories

Requirements For Sr. Equipment and Process Development Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in optics, opto-mechanics, mechatronics, robotics, or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in process and equipment development for optical products
  • Experience in process fundamentals including bonding, electrical interconnect, assembly, and alignment
  • Experience in designing, building, and/or operating active alignment equipment with high precision
  • Experience in equipment automation, cycle time optimization and line balancing
  • Experience with 3D CAD, control systems and software interface, mechatronics and robotics, and data analysis tools
