We seek a passionate team player to join our Hardware organization as an SSP Data User Studies Research Engineer. In this role, you will design and moderate user study sessions to support software, firmware, and algorithm design and validation of input mechanisms on various hardware products. You'll work in an exciting, multifaceted, fast-paced environment, solving complex puzzles and determining non-obvious solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing study protocols
- Recruiting and scheduling study participants
- Identifying inefficiencies and streamlining project-related databases and processes
- Managing study environments, documents, and electronic data
- Using and maintaining hardware prototypes
- Facilitating one-on-one or large-group sessions
- Producing visualizations and summaries of data
- Presenting results to different audiences across multiple media formats
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with defining new measures to evaluate user experience, study design, and research requirements
- Demonstrated success with schedules, task management, facilities, purchasing, device set-up, and day-to-day operations
- Experience planning and executing small to mid-range scale human/user data collection studies
- Familiarity with research methodologies
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with people
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to influence others and handle conflict appropriately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extraordinary work ethic and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
