Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer, Swift on Server (ASE)
- Building and improving libraries for running large-scale, critical services in Swift
- Setting direction and ensuring goals delivery as engineering lead
- Collaboration across multiple teams to define, implement and deliver shared vision
- Contributing to Swift open source ecosystem
- Building foundational libraries and frameworks for distributed systems
Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Swift on Server (ASE)
- 5+ years of experience in strongly typed languages and deep understanding of the language and compiler interaction
- Experience with statically compiled languages (Swift, Rust, C/C++ or Objective-C preferred)
- Large-scale server side development of distributed systems experience
- Strong knowledge of concurrency and high performance networking
- Familiarity with package manager, dependency management, and command line build process
- Expertise in library design/API evolution
- Understanding of low level concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
