Join Apple's Mac organization as a System Signal Integrity Engineer where you'll be at the forefront of hardware development for Mac and Accessory products. This role combines deep technical expertise in signal integrity with hands-on product development, from concept to production. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, focusing on high-speed SerDes, parallel bus, and single-ended signaling systems.
The position requires expertise in modeling and analyzing complex interconnect systems using advanced tools like PowerSI, HFSS, and various 2.5D/3D simulation platforms. You'll be responsible for ensuring signal integrity across multiple components, including multi-layer PCBs, flex circuits, cables, connectors, packages, and dies.
As a senior technical member, you'll work with various industry standards such as USB, DisplayPort, HDMI, and Thunderbolt, while also handling custom connector and cable designs. Responsibilities For System Signal Integrity Engineer
- Support system-level signal integrity design, analysis, and validation for Mac and Accessory products
- Design Mac products from signal integrity perspectives
- Simulate and analyze multi-layer PCBs, flex, cable, connector, package, and die
- Support custom connector and cable design and development
- Provide factory build support
- Support electrical compliance testing
- Model physical channel topologies
- Perform interconnect modeling using S-parameter and W-elements
Requirements For System Signal Integrity Engineer
- Masters degree with 5+ years of industry work experience
- Solid understanding of signal integrity fundamentals for both single-ended and differential signals
- Experience in modeling interconnects using 3D EM tools
- System-level Serdes design and analysis skills
- Understanding of transmitter and receiver equalization methods
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
