Apple is seeking an experienced Systems Signal Integrity Engineer to join their Mac system technology team. This role is crucial for the development and validation of Mac and Data center products, focusing on system-level signal integrity design and analysis. The position requires deep expertise in high-speed SerDes, parallel bus, and single-ended signaling interfaces used in personal computers and peripherals.

The successful candidate will be involved in pathfinding studies during silicon development, working closely with silicon and packaging teams to optimize system integration. They will collaborate with System Design teams to develop SI strategies and guidelines, while also working with HW Validation teams to create and implement test suites for system-level validation.

Responsibilities For Systems Signal Integrity Engineer - Apple Mac

  • Support system-level signal integrity design, analysis and validation aspects of Mac and Data center products development
  • Conduct pathfinding studies in silicon development phase
  • Provide feedback to silicon and packaging team on system integration tradeoffs
  • Work with System Design teams to provide detailed SI strategy and guidelines
  • Develop test-suites to perform system-level validation
  • Evaluate design margins on all signal paths
  • Support through project design process including system pathfinding and verification stages

Requirements For Systems Signal Integrity Engineer - Apple Mac

  • M.S Degree with 4~7 years relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with all aspects of Signal Integrity for high speed SerDes, parallel bus, single ended signaling
  • Ability to complete channel analysis with Signal integrity EDA
  • Measurement expertise with frequency and time domain tools (VNA, TDR) including calibration methods
