Description For Thermal Engineer

Apple's Thermal team is seeking a talented Thermal Engineer to play a crucial role in defining and designing Apple products. This position focuses on ensuring all thermal objectives are met or exceeded throughout the product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final design. The role requires a deep understanding of heat and fluid flow mechanics and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex design challenges.

As a Thermal Engineer, you'll work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment where your expertise will directly impact product design decisions. You'll be responsible for leading thermal solution design and implementation, participating in design reviews, and conducting technology investigations. The role involves optimizing thermal control parameters, analyzing system test data, and preparing executive presentations.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technically complex information to various stakeholders. You'll need an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of product experience, along with proficiency in thermal simulation tools like IcePak and Star-CCM+.
