Responsibilities For Tools & Automation Engineer

  • Test quality and integrity of data collected for Apple Media products
  • Handle detailed testing and compiling analysis
  • Prepare and document test plans for entire team
  • Perform functional and regression tests using devices
  • Prioritize bugs and determine appropriate support
  • Automate test cases via internal products and new utilities
  • Analyze, isolate bugs and write detailed bug reports
  • Attend meetings with cross functional teams
  • Communicate results and status to different teams
  • Write and execute complex analytical SQL statements
  • Develop utilities for testing efficiencies

Requirements For Tools & Automation Engineer

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems or related field
  • 2 years experience with Testing on iOS Devices, including capturing logs and automating manual tests
  • 2 years experience with SQL, including experience in server side validation
  • 2 years experience writing bug reports with necessary details
  • 2 years experience using Splunk, including validating metrics collected
  • 2 years experience using JSON, Big data, and Charles
  • Experience in defect tracking system to create detailed and accurate bugs
  • Experience with software testing methodology, including execution of test plans and debugging
