Responsibilities For Touch ID Product Design Engineer

  • Own the end-to-end design, development and validation of sensing technology
  • Generate design concepts and engineering analysis
  • Identify design tradeoffs and risks
  • Apply experiment design and scientific method to reduce design risk
  • Run tolerance studies for manufacturing feasibility
  • Drive processes to meet Apple's high cosmetic standards
  • Support external manufacturing vendors with process development
  • Conduct root cause analysis for testing issues
  • International travel between 15% and 25% post-pandemic

Requirements For Touch ID Product Design Engineer

  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience designing for a production environment
  • 3D CAD experience is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to craft clear engineering documentation
