Description For Touch/Force Hardware - Sensor System Architect

The Sensor Architecture team at Apple is seeking a Touch/Force Hardware - Sensor System Architect to join their multi-disciplinary team. This role focuses on developing state-of-the-art technologies and sensor modules across Apple's product portfolio, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and more. Key responsibilities include architecting entire sensor systems, building comprehensive sensor models, performing first-principles physical modeling and analysis, co-architecting with partner teams, and identifying novel sensing architectures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical engineering, transducer physics, and system engineering, with experience in modeling, building, and testing complex multi-physics systems. Proficiency in MATLAB and COMSOL or equivalent packages is preferred, along with excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
