Description For WiFi MAC Systems Engineer

In this technical role, you will be at the center of our silicon design group responsible for the wireless systems design of our innovative wireless SoC products. You will create algorithms and architectures of wireless communication systems, collaborate with HW, SW designers and architects to implement, verify, validate and bring up SoC products to production quality.

Core responsibilities include: • Designing and simulating wireless communication systems for high data rate applications, focusing on MAC layer system design and optimizations. • Analyzing and improving the efficiency of wireless MAC layer protocols. • Implementing MAC system models and investigating algorithms for performance enhancements. • Collaborating with PHY system team and cross-functional teams to integrate MAC layer algorithms. • Collaborating with firmware designers for efficient software implementation. • Bringing up, testing, characterizing and optimizing real silicon in the lab. • Documenting design processes and performance outcomes.

Requirements For WiFi MAC Systems Engineer

Python
  • BS and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in crafting signal processing and wireless communications systems
  • Strong understanding of WiFi MAC layer protocol and algorithm design
  • Advanced degree in EE or Computer Engineering; MS or Ph.D preferred
