Description For Wireless Lab Support Engineer

Apple's Wireless Lab Services team is seeking a Lab Support Engineer to join their Sensing & Connectivity organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge Apple hardware and software, including unreleased products. The position involves managing and supporting multiple labs while working alongside Engineers and Vendors to ensure successful product releases.

As a Lab Services Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining lab workspaces, managing test equipment inventory, and supporting both hardware and software testing environments. The role requires strong technical skills in macOS and iOS administration, along with proficiency in using various command-line tools for remote system management. You'll have the opportunity to work with prototype hardware and software, contributing to the development of future Apple products.

The ideal candidate should have experience in troubleshooting Apple products, strong vendor management skills, and the ability to write automation scripts to improve efficiency. Knowledge of wireless technologies and networking is advantageous, as is proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Swift, or C/C++. Responsibilities For Wireless Lab Support Engineer

  • Manage, maintain and organize lab work spaces across multiple technologies
  • Prepare Apple devices and systems for testing
  • Manage inventory of test equipment and track location of items
  • Support test setups and debug sessions
  • Use ARD, SSH, Telnet and other CLI to manage remote machine and devices
  • Interact with Hardware & Software prototypes and components
