Description For Wireless PHY Design Verification Engineer

Apple's wireless silicon development team is at the forefront of creating next-generation wireless technology. As a Wireless PHY Design Verification Engineer, you'll be integral to ensuring the success of wireless products through comprehensive verification processes. The role involves working with cutting-edge PHY modem hardware, including controllers, blocks, subsystems, and wireless protocols.

You'll be responsible for developing and implementing advanced testbenches, applying systems models, and driving feature closure for extremely high throughput and low power Wireless Physical Layer components. The position requires expertise in ASIC pre-silicon verification, with opportunities to work on complex PHY technology and protocols.

The role offers a unique opportunity to bridge multiple domains, foster collaborations, and create innovative verification solutions. You'll be working with state-of-the-art technology, developing test environments, creating scenarios, and analyzing metrics to ensure product excellence. Responsibilities For Wireless PHY Design Verification Engineer

  • Develop features or subsystem test planning, bring up, through feature closure
  • Develop test bench environment, infrastructure, methodology, and flow automation
  • Work with cross functional partnerships, driving verification requirement and deliverable
  • Develop constrained randomization scenario development and debug
  • Develop regression issue tracking and closure

Requirements For Wireless PHY Design Verification Engineer

Python
  • BS degree minimum required
  • Knowledge of ASIC verification flows with SystemVerilog and UVM
  • Experience developing testbenches from scratch
  • Experience with constrained random testing, coverage closure, and RTL simulations
  • Experience in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash)
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols (Wi-Fi/IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth or LTE) is a plus
