Wireless Stability Engineer, Cellular

Apple is seeking a highly technical Wireless Stability Engineer, Cellular with excellent problem-solving and automation skills to join their Wireless Software group. This role involves developing and executing system overall stability tests on Apple products, working with cellular technologies such as 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, and GSM. The engineer will be responsible for qualifying wireless features and software for the latest iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watch product lines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing system overall stability tests
• Using diagnostics, analytics, and lab/field experimentations to identify improvement opportunities
• Collaborating with platform architecture, standardization, firmware/protocol development, system test, and carrier engineering teams
• Driving improvement proposals and baseband optimizations
• Conducting both documented and ad hoc testing to ensure the highest quality releases

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, or GSM
• Knowledge of MTBF, Stability Testing, Automation tools, test suites, and execution
• Proficiency in Python
• Deep understanding of Cellular Protocol stack and SQA methodologies
• Experience in developing test strategies and plans
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with multi-functional teams
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of 3GPP and ETSI standards
