Description For WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer

Apple's wireless silicon development team is seeking a WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer to join their growing organization. This role is integral to the wireless SoC team, which handles all aspects of wireless silicon development with a focus on energy-efficient design and transformative technologies. The position offers an opportunity to work with a world-class vertically integrated engineering team spanning RF/Analog architecture, Systems/PHY/MAC design, VLSI/RTL design, and more.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering automation frameworks used by the Wireless SoC RF integration and validation team. This includes architecting and implementing automation frameworks for WSoC RF characterization and regression testing. The role offers significant opportunities for technical growth in both hardware and software domains, including wireless transceiver architecture, RF systems, DSP knowledge, and embedded systems.

Key responsibilities include developing software routines for test equipment control, enhancing firmware/software regression frameworks, and implementing data visualization flows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation, strong programming skills in Python, and deep understanding of wireless SoC RF frameworks. Responsibilities For WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer

  • Capture requirements, architect, implement and maintain test automation framework for wireless SoC RF test flow
  • Develop SW routines for automating test equipment control, and data acquisition and processing
  • Enhance existing FW/SW regression framework and maintain it
  • Develop flow to manipulate data from database to data visualization
  • Develop automation infrastructure for GIT - CI/CD
  • Automate repetitive measurements using standard scripting languages (Python)
  • Continually work to improve testing speed, coverage and accuracy

Requirements For WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer

Python
  • BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Deep understanding of test SW development fundamentals and code management
  • Experience with wireless SoC RF FW/SW regression framework development
  • Familiarity with data storage, databases and data visualization tools
  • Experience with digital interfaces including SPI/I2C/JTAG
  • Proficiency with measurement automation tools and Python scripting
  • Experience with lab equipment: signal analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer
