Apple is seeking a WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer to join their growing wireless silicon development team. This role is part of their wireless SoC organization, which is responsible for all aspects of wireless silicon development, with a focus on energy-efficient design and innovative technologies that enhance user experience at the product level.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a world-class, vertically integrated engineering team that spans multiple disciplines including RF/Analog architecture, Systems/PHY/MAC design, VLSI/RTL design, Emulation, Design Verification, Test and Validation, and FW/SW engineering.
As a WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering automation frameworks used by the Wireless SoC RF integration and validation team. Your primary focus will be on architecting and implementing automation frameworks for WSoC RF characterization and regression testing. This role provides excellent opportunities for technical growth in both hardware and software domains, including understanding wireless transceiver architecture, RF systems, DSP knowledge, software frameworks, RF drivers, and embedded systems.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in test software development and code management, with hands-on experience in wireless SoC RF firmware/software regression framework development. You should be proficient in Python programming and have experience with various lab equipment and digital interfaces. The role requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, as you'll be working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer
- Capture requirements, architect, implement and maintain test automation framework for wireless SoC RF test flow
- Develop SW routines for automating test equipment control, and data acquisition and processing
- Enhance and maintain existing FW/SW regression framework
- Develop flow to manipulate data from database to data visualization
- Develop automation infrastructure for GIT - CI/CD
- Automate repetitive measurements using standard scripting languages (Python)
- Continually work to improve testing speed, coverage and accuracy
Requirements For WSoC RF Test Automation Engineer
- BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of test SW development fundamentals and code management
- Experience with wireless SoC RF FW/SW regression framework
- Familiarity with data storage, databases and data visualization tools
- Experience with digital interfaces including SPI/I2C/JTAG
- Proficiency with Python and SCPI
- Experience with lab equipment: signal analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer
