Description For ML Perception Software Engineer

Applied Intuition is seeking a ML Perception Software Engineer to join their team in Mountain View, California. As a key member of the team, you will focus on building out critical capabilities of perception modules within an autonomous vehicle stack. You'll drive the design and development of computer vision and machine learning techniques to enable self-driving vehicles to navigate effectively.

Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement capabilities and workflows for cutting-edge real-world perception systems • Collaborate closely with the sensor simulation team to ensure the best range of multi-fidelity simulation models • Work with the infrastructure team to provide top-notch enterprise software for engineering, testing, and customer product teams

The ideal candidate will have: • Passion for applying domain expertise to create tooling that enhances productivity for teams working on various real-world autonomous systems applications • 3+ years of experience building software components or subsystems addressing real-world perception challenges • Hands-on experience with multiple domain-relevant software frameworks or tools • Deep understanding of concepts and methods behind frameworks or libraries used • Experience with production-level ML and DL perception algorithms for autonomous vehicles

Nice-to-have qualifications: • MSc or PhD in perception or a closely related field • Deep hands-on expertise in relevant algorithms or methods • Experience building and shipping software frameworks or tools

Applied Intuition offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $400,000 USD annually, based on the company's compensation practices. They are an in-office company, expecting employees to be present in the office 5 days a week.
