Description For Systems Engineer

Applied Intuition, a leading vehicle software supplier, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Off-Road Autonomy Team. This role is crucial in shaping the technical direction of autonomous systems for defense, mining, construction, and search and rescue applications. As a Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating and managing the functional, logical, and physical architecture of Applied's off-road autonomy features.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge autonomous systems, requiring strong MBSE expertise and experience with robotics, software, or defense applications. You'll collaborate closely with developers and other systems engineers to ensure comprehensive requirements and test case coverage. The role demands technical depth in SysML and Cameo, along with experience in functional decomposition and validation.

The compensation package is competitive, including a base salary range of $118,000-$220,000, equity options, comprehensive benefits, and professional development opportunities. Responsibilities For Systems Engineer

  • Derive functions from feature descriptions and customer user journeys to build and maintain functional and logical architecture
  • Map functional and logical architecture diagrams to physical architecture diagrams
  • Collaborate with developers to architect and model implementation details
  • Ensure traceability of architecture diagrams to other systems engineering artifacts
  • Collaborate with systems engineers for requirements and test case coverage

Requirements For Systems Engineer

  • 4+ years of experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, or related field
  • Extensive experience with SysML and Cameo within automotive, defense or aerospace industry
  • Experience with functional decomposition and allocation, requirements development, verification and validation
