Description For Data Engineer

Apply Digital, a global digital transformation partner with 650+ team members, is seeking a Data Engineer for their Delhi office. The role focuses on building and maintaining cloud-native data pipelines supporting Composable digital platforms, primarily working with Kraft Heinz, a major client.

The position requires expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms (particularly Google Cloud Platform - BigQuery), along with experience in data pipeline orchestration tools like Dagster and DBT. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in data engineering and strong English language proficiency.

The role involves designing and optimizing data pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing data security best practices. You'll work within Apply Digital's "One Team" pod structure, which brings together senior leadership and subject matter experts working in well-organized sprint cadences.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ETL/ELT/Streaming workflows
  • Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to integrate data solutions
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing
  • Operate cloud data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
  • Work with analytics and product teams to define data models
  • Implement data security, privacy, and governance best practices
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipeline reliability
  • Maintain clear documentation for data pipelines
  • Stay updated with best practices and emerging technologies

Requirements For Data Engineer

  • Strong proficiency in English (written and verbal communication)
  • Experience working with remote teams across North America and Latin America
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong SQL skills for data modeling
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools like DBT, Apache Beam
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools
