ARO is seeking a Senior Internal IT Engineer to join their team in Liverpool, UK. This hybrid role offers a salary range of £40,000 - £45,000 DOE and requires 3 days in the office per week. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and networking, with strong technical skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, and networking technologies.

Responsibilities For Senior Internal IT Engineer
- Develop and deliver the IT platform roadmap
- Contribute to the IT platform roadmap development, with a focus on platform architecture
- Support the development of IT colleagues
- Be a subject matter expert for ARO's IT platform architecture
- Collaborate with subject matter experts for core ARO applications
- Build positive relationships throughout the Group
- Maintain a reliable, high-performing IT platform
- Provide IT support to ARO users
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Maintain documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
- Complete IT tasks in support of security and compliance standards including ISO 27001
- Participate in the reduction of vulnerabilities, including patch management
- Update the hardware and software asset register
Requirements For Senior Internal IT Engineer
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IT infrastructure and networking
- Good understanding of MS licensing
- Strong technical skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V and networking technologies
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Azure or AWS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Full and valid UK driver's license
- Experience with Server Operating Systems including up to Microsoft Server 2022
- O365 administration and deployment
- Server Virtualisation Environments such as Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V
- LAN and WAN switching configuration and trouble shooting
- Firewalling (Watchguard /VLAN Experience / router and connectivity troubleshooting)
- WIFI – Ubiquiti or Meraki
- Sound IP troubleshooting skills including DHCP, DNS, IP addressing
