Responsibilities For Staff QA Engineer
- Spearhead the development and continuous refinement of QA strategy, including test planning, execution, and process improvements
- Architect, implement and maintain highly efficient automated test scripts and frameworks
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing where automation is not feasible
- Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Track, analyze, and report on software defects
- Implement performance, scalability, and stress testing
- Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies
- Assess risks associated with product releases and provide recommendations for mitigation
Requirements For Staff QA Engineer
- 7-10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress), scripting languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, JavaScript), and CI/CD pipelines
- Deep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
