Astronomer is seeking a Presales Engineer for their APAC region to join their globally-distributed team. This role focuses on being a key technical partner to clients, helping them implement powerful data workflows using Astro, their industry-leading DataOps platform powered by Airflow.
The position requires working in a hybrid model with at least 3 days per week at their Hyderabad office, covering Asia Pacific customers with work timings from 7 am IST to 4 pm IST. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in Sales Engineering or similar roles within the data space.
Key responsibilities include designing proof-of-concept solutions, conducting technical demos, providing guidance to engineering teams, contributing to the Apache Airflow community, and gathering field insights for product development. The role requires strong data engineering knowledge, excellent communication skills, and genuine customer empathy.
