Senior Customer Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure

Astronomer is seeking a Senior Customer Reliability Engineer to join their Infrastructure team, focusing on their industry-leading DataOps platform, Astro. This role combines technical expertise with customer success, requiring deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters. The position involves working in a globally-distributed team, managing and maintaining platform reliability while directly interfacing with customers across various industries.

The role demands expertise in cloud infrastructure, requiring 5 years of experience with complex SaaS environments. You'll be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the platform to ensure maximum availability and reliability. As an infrastructure specialist, you'll handle incident response, implement permanent solutions, and own the observability platform.

Working hours are specifically set from 12PM to 6PM PST, Monday to Friday, with flexible remaining hours. The role includes participation in weekend on-call rotations. You'll be instrumental in troubleshooting customer environments, building monitoring systems, and providing white-glove service to ensure customer success.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $165,000-$185,000 plus equity, reflecting the senior nature of the role.
