The role is part of Astronomer's R&D team, focused on delivering exceptional Apache Airflow management at scale. As a Senior Infrastructure & Tooling Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing stable infrastructure platforms, implementing release automation, and developing developer tools that support the Astro platform.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of engineering experience with Linux and container-based cloud infrastructure. You'll work with technologies like Kubernetes, Golang, and Python, while implementing CI/CD practices and security measures. The position requires both technical expertise and a customer-oriented mindset, as you'll be building tools and services that other teams rely on.
Key responsibilities include optimizing developer productivity, evolving Kubernetes infrastructure, troubleshooting network and cloud infrastructure issues, and implementing SRE practices. You'll also work closely with the security team to establish proper access controls and security measures.
