Senior Software Engineer, Data Ingestion

Astronomer, the company behind Astro - an industry-leading DataOps platform powered by Airflow, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their data observability product, Astro Observe. This role focuses on leading the design and implementation of OpenLineage data collection and ingestion efforts.

As a member of their globally-distributed, venture-backed team, you'll be at the forefront of helping data teams bring mission-critical analytics, AI, and software to life. The position offers an opportunity to work on critical components of their expansion strategy built on OpenLineage events.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python skills and 5+ years of engineering experience, with a focus on helping customers gain visibility through observability offerings. Experience with OpenLineage, Apache Airflow, and data observability products is highly valued. The role involves significant contribution to open-source communities and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
