Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure Focus

Astronomer, the company behind Astro - an industry-leading data orchestration and observability platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with an infrastructure focus. This role is part of the R&D team's dataplane management group, which designs, builds, and owns the infrastructure running customer workloads. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology managing hundreds of kubernetes clusters across clouds.

The position offers an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure components, developing features for workload identity, multitenancy, disaster recovery, and cloud quota management. You'll be instrumental in building and scaling Astro, which enables data orchestration for major enterprises globally.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with SaaS infrastructure, distributed systems, and secure platform development. Knowledge of Golang or Java is essential, and Kubernetes experience is highly valued. You'll be joining a globally-distributed, venture-backed team of innovators focused on empowering data teams to bring mission-critical analytics, AI, and software to life.

This remote position offers competitive compensation ($180,000-$210,000) with equity and comprehensive benefits.
