This unique position functions as a "hacker in residence" within the R&D team, focusing on experimenting with new ideas and building prototypes that will shape the future of Apache Airflow management at scale.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and practical application, with a particular emphasis on how Generative AI will transform the landscape for data professionals in the coming years. As part of the Office of the CTO, you'll have the freedom to experiment with various technologies and programming languages, working primarily with Go, Python, and React/TypeScript.

You'll be responsible for rapidly prototyping ideas, building LLM-based features, and contributing to Astronomer's thought leadership through articles and talks. The position offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $210,000, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
