Description For Solutions Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Astronomer is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join their globally-distributed team. This role focuses on working with strategic private-cloud customers to implement and manage Apache Airflow clusters and related infrastructure. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly Kubernetes, and strong customer-facing skills.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of industry experience with deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux systems, and major cloud platforms. They will be responsible for supporting customer installations, monitoring infrastructure performance, troubleshooting issues, and developing automation solutions. The role demands both technical proficiency and excellent communication skills to work effectively with customers.

Working in a hybrid model from Hyderabad office (minimum 3 days per week), you'll be part of a company that values diverse experiences and backgrounds. Astronomer offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge data orchestration technology and contribute to making Airflow the industry standard.

Responsibilities For Solutions Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

  • Work with strategic private-cloud customers for Astronomer's offerings deployment
  • Support Astronomer Managed Airflow Software installations
  • Set up and measure monitoring & alerting metrics for infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to Kubernetes-based private-cloud offerings
  • Drive major incidents, root cause analysis, and change implementation
  • Develop automation scripts for environment monitoring
  • Provide technical guidance for complex infrastructure issues
  • Act as liaison between clients and Product team

Requirements For Solutions Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

  • 2+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience
  • 3-5 years of industry experience
  • Strong understanding of microservices/service-oriented architecture
  • Expert knowledge in Linux/Unix Operating Systems
  • Strong understanding of networking issues debugging
  • Strong working experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with customers through various mediums
