Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering

Astronomer, the company behind Astro, an industry-leading DataOps platform, is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their Global Services Delivery Team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on implementing Apache Airflow across diverse organizations from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

The position requires working in a hybrid model, with at least 3 days per week at the Hyderabad office. As a Solutions Engineer, you'll become an Airflow expert and trusted advisor, helping organizations optimize their data pipelines and implement best practices. You'll work directly with customers, providing education, guidance, and technical solutions while maintaining strong relationships with the Apache Airflow open-source community.

Key responsibilities include maintaining technical expertise in Airflow and Astronomer's platform, performing code refactoring assessments, collaborating on engineering solutions, and acting as a bridge between customers and the Product team. The ideal candidate brings 3-6 years of data engineering experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with modern data stack technologies.
