The ideal candidate will bridge technical expertise with strategic customer engagement, working directly with stakeholders from C-level executives to data practitioners. They'll be responsible for evangelizing Atlan's solutions and the broader concepts of agile data culture, while ensuring customers have all necessary information for decision-making through demos, trials, and POCs.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders from CDOs and Data Platform leaders to data engineers and analysts
  • Understand and solve customer problems
  • Act as trusted advisor for data teams on their journey to building a modern data platform
  • Evangelize Atlan and broader principles of agile data culture to the data community
  • Set up customised demo flows
  • Run trials and POCs, office hours
  • Work closely with product team to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmap

Requirements For Strategic Sales Engineer - West

  • Prior experience as a Sales Engineer, or Technical Data Practitioner in customer-facing roles (minimum 7 years)
  • Prior experience working with data technology
  • Proficient in SQL and RestAPI's
  • Programming skills in Python, Java, Go or another language
  • Experience with Enterprise/Strategic customers
  • Experience dealing with complex sales cycles and multi stakeholder deals
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
