Responsibilities For Software Development Engineer II – Data

  • Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures
  • Implement data structures using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, AWS, and OLAP technologies
  • Provide logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets
  • Gather business and functional requirements and translate into scalable solutions
  • Analyze source data systems and drive best practices
  • Participate in full development life cycle
  • Produce comprehensive dataset documentation and metadata
  • Evaluate dataset implementations and software tools
  • Mentor junior data engineers
