This senior-level position demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in space systems and cyber security, offering a competitive salary range of $170,000-$195,000.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring expertise in system design, integration, and deployment of complex space systems. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for driving system architecture, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of mission-critical solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 20+ years of experience, with deep knowledge of DOD space communication systems and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Responsibilities For Chief Engineer

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of assigned systems
  • Oversee system testing strategies including unit, integration, and performance tests
  • Produce system documentation and communicate technical details
  • Identify system risks and devise mitigation strategies
  • Mentor junior engineers and team members
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Lead system development and validation testing

Requirements For Chief Engineer

  • Current U.S. Government SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree and 20+ years of experience or Master's with 17+ years of experience
  • Experience in leading design and deployment of large-scale space systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of DOD space communication systems
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience leading cloud-based environments and network infrastructure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with M.S. Office Products
