Responsibilities For Cyber Engineer (Patching & Group Policy)

  • Develop and test patches for Software, Hardware, and Firmware vulnerabilities
  • Install and configure Linux from OS to application level
  • Document and verify installation and configuration steps
  • Develop test plans/procedures for software integration
  • Collaborate with software developers for problem diagnosis
  • Submit problem reports per Agile processes
  • Implement Cyber Releases in National Team labs
  • Install and unit test Cyber Products
  • Document security engineering practices and standards

Requirements For Cyber Engineer (Patching & Group Policy)

Linux
  • Current/active DoD issued SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5 years experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year, or 9 years experience
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
  • Experience with vulnerability management (IAVMs, CTOs, CVEs)
  • Experience configuring and patching Windows systems with GPO
  • Experience with Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM)
  • In-depth understanding of GPOs for access control
