Description For Cyber Security Engineer

Auria, a leading provider of solutions and software for Space, National Security, and Cyber missions, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support Department of Defense (DoD) Missile Defense Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E). This role is based in Huntsville, AL, and requires an active SECRET clearance.

The position focuses on implementing critical security directives and managing vulnerability across DoD systems. You'll be responsible for analyzing and remediating security vulnerabilities, designing security solutions, and ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements. The role involves leading network security implementation and conducting risk assessments of IT systems.

Responsibilities For Cyber Security Engineer

  • Vulnerability management including IAVMs, Cyber Tasking Orders, CVEs, Vendor Patches, and STIG configurations
  • Design, develop, and implement network and system security solutions
  • Lead and manage network security implementation
  • Assess security risks of IT systems, networks, and applications
  • Drive cyber strategy and provide insight into policy and technical decisions

Requirements For Cyber Security Engineer

  • Active SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline preferred
  • Experience in Communications Security
  • Experience in testing security requirements
  • IA certification IAW DoD Instruction 8570.01M
