This role supports the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), providing crucial 24/7 global technical support for C5ISR systems.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $135,000 and requires 5 years of cybersecurity experience. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic security planning, including implementing STIG checklists, conducting vulnerability assessments, and managing security infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include conducting security administration, running ACAS vulnerability scans, monitoring security changes, and responding to cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have experience with tools like FTK, Wireshark, and Autopsy, plus programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

Responsibilities For Cybersecurity Engineer

  • Recommend and implement hardware, software, or network solutions
  • Conduct administration, configuration, and support of IT infrastructure
  • Implement STIG checklists and create DoD cybersecurity policies
  • Review Windows, Linux, Cloud, network/applications STIGs
  • Run ACAS vulnerability scans
  • Generate reports and propose remediations for open findings
  • Monitor and respond to security-impacting changes
  • Create and track audit reports and metrics
  • Support cyber breach investigations
  • Conduct analysis to identify indicators of compromise
  • Draft client reports with findings and recommendations
  • Stay current with cyber threats and attack tactics
  • Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python
  • Collaborate with other cybersecurity engineers on security solutions

Requirements For Cybersecurity Engineer

  • Five years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity
  • Three years of experience with malware or forensics and intrusion detection analysis
  • Two years of experience with tools like FTK, Wireshark, Autopsy
  • One year of experience with Python, Lau, C/C, Ruby or similar
  • IAT Level I Certification
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science (desired)
  • IAT Level II or III certification (desired)
