Description For Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

Auria is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join their team at Camp Pendleton, CA. This role is part of the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), which provides critical 24/7 global technical support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $135,000 and involves crucial responsibilities in cybersecurity and system protection. As an ISSE, you'll be responsible for implementing security controls, conducting security assessments, and ensuring compliance with Marine Corps security protocols. The role requires expertise in cybersecurity measures, risk assessment, and security control implementation using tools like MCCAST.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in military information security programs, holding essential certifications like CompTIA Security+ and CNSSI 4014 ISSO qualification. An active Secret security clearance is mandatory. Additional desired qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field, and certifications such as CAP and GSLC.

Responsibilities For Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

  • Determine client security control requirements
  • Implement security controls in Marine Corps Compliance and Authorization Support Tool (MCCAST)
  • Conduct annual review of security controls
  • Assess cybersecurity measures and vulnerabilities
  • Identify and direct remediation of technical problems
  • Develop secure architectures and communicate security best practices
  • Perform cybersecurity hardening and security monitoring
  • Provide input to Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
  • Document security solutions and configurations

Requirements For Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

  • Completion of a CNSSI 4014 – Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) qualified course or equivalent
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Experience with Marine Corps Information Security programs
  • Active Security Clearance - Secret
