Responsibilities For Network Engineer (MDA)

  • Engineer new capabilities and maintain existing environments
  • Produce designs including system, logic, and connectivity drawings
  • Conduct testing of network designs
  • Evaluate and report on new communications technologies
  • Work collaboratively in team environment
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot networking equipment
  • Document network engineering configuration changes

Requirements For Network Engineer (MDA)

  • Current/active DoD issued SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
  • DoD 8140 certification IAT - Level II or higher
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Juniper routers, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and Wireshark
  • CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, and Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications
  • Understanding of project lifecycle and systems engineering
  • Experience in reviewing work products
  • Working knowledge of spanning tree, trunking, routing protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
