Auria, a distinguished provider of Space, National Security, and Cyber mission solutions, is seeking a Senior Malware Analyst/Reverse Engineer to join their team at Camp Pendleton, CA. This role is part of the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), providing 24/7 global technical support for C5ISR systems. The position offers an attractive salary range of $115,000 - $135,000 and requires expertise in malware analysis, reverse engineering, and cybersecurity.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in malware analysis and reverse engineering, with strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and other languages. You'll be responsible for conducting complex analysis of malicious code, from commodity malware to advanced persistent threats, and contributing to the team's technical capabilities in cyber assessment and defense.

The position requires an active Secret security clearance and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. You'll be part of a team that supports the command's mission of Testing, Engineering, Integration, and Sustainment of Marine Corps C5ISR Programs of Record, making direct contributions to strengthening the Fleet Marine Force's capabilities.
Responsibilities For Senior Malware Analyst/Reverse Engineer
- Performs complex static and dynamic analysis of malicious code
- Conduct malware analysis and reverse engineering of suspicious code
- Perform deep dive technical analysis of cyberattack tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Identify malware families, actor techniques, and other noteworthy code sequences
- Automate malware analysis and intelligence gathering processes
- Hunt for novel samples, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and actor TTPs
- Research threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits
- Server as senior expert for internal team supporting technical analysis of cyber events
- Document and present findings in comprehensive technical analysis reports
- Communicate effectively with business representatives, technology specialists, and vendors
- Assist peer analysts in the production and dissemination of reports
Requirements For Senior Malware Analyst/Reverse Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Three or more years' experience in malware analysis and reverse engineering
- Experience with debuggers, disassemblers, and other malware analysis tools (i.e., IDA Pro, Ghidra)
- Experience coding (scripting) using Python, C, JavaScript, and VBScript
- Knowledge in operating systems, processor architectures, and computer networking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Active Security Clearance - Secret
