Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer II to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.
The candidate will primarily be responsible for software development using Java. Additional responsibilities include: provide in-depth analysis and technical support of a large, distributed system written in Java; resolve complex problems, design, develop, test, integrate, and support users for a large code baseline; follow specifications to develop or modify functionality within the code; assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation; design, code, test, and implement automation tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Familiarity with Java Spring.
- Experience with software programming in Java.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally up-to 10% to support business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Command and control system application development experience.
- Experience with message translation software, automated test and pipeline development.
- Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
- Agile team experience.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of server-side development and message passing.
- Experience developing enterprise applications.
- Experience with software integration testing and Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation.
