Software Engineer 4

Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer 4 to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.

This position is for a Sr. Principal Software Engineer on the C2BMC program. The selected candidate will be responsible for software development in the Java language for the Enterprise Services team. Under minimal direction, the candidate will provide specialized expertise within multiple systems and software disciplines and general knowledge of related disciplines, application implications, and customer areas. Will also assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs. Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the operating system.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Maintains currency, debugs, and configures related software products.
• Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
• Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation.
• Works on most phases of software systems programming applications and may require minor instruction and guidance in other phases.
• Leadership position on small software focused teams may be required.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience. They must have a current active DoD issued secret security clearance and DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher. Strong Java/J2EE experience, knowledge of software practices, and experience with various development tools are required.

Auria offers a competitive salary range of $124,000 - $137,000 based on qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, 401(k) matching, tuition assistance, and various insurance options.
