Software Engineer - Regional Apps

Auria is looking to hire Software Engineers (multiple positions, multiple levels) to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The primary work location is in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.

The candidates will be responsible for software development in Java for one of the Regional Applications teams in Colorado Springs and Huntsville (Enterprise Services, Planner, Modeling & Simulation, User Interface). Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems and software disciplines and general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Leadership positions on small software-focused teams may be required.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Maintains currency, debugs, and configures related software products.
• Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
• Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation.
• Works on most phases of software systems programming applications and may require minor instruction and guidance in other phases.
• Leadership position on small software focused teams may be required.

The role requires a current active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance and DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher. The ideal candidate will have strong Java/J2EE experience, knowledge of software practices, and experience with various development tools and methodologies.
