System Engineer - Interfaces & Capability

Auria is looking to hire a System Engineer – Interfaces & Capability to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.

The role involves working with customers to define mission needs and technical implementation strategies, utilizing established architectural approaches to achieve technical solutions to complex problems. The solutions should be presented clearly to audiences composed of both customers and C2BMC solution-level management. The selected candidate will report to the Global ART PM and work directly with the technical team.

Essential Functions:

• Possess demonstrable skills in full-cycle systems engineering of new capabilities
• System interface design & Interface Control Document development
• Apply results to enhance C2BMC for space mission applications
• Understand systems engineering processes and principles
• Communicate desired capabilities to diverse developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and system users
• Comfortable with rapidly changing requirements and novel solutions
• 3+ years of experience leading or contributing to an integrated team environment
• Experience in defining, developing, and integrating systems-of-systems
• Ability to analyze high-level needs and define structured approaches
• Effective communication and presentation skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Current and Active TS/SCI clearance required
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5 years experience, Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year
• Experience in capability and requirement derivation, OPSCON, CONOPS development
• Knowledge of system decomposition, integration practices, and analysis tools
• Experience with Windows & Unix/Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
• Knowledge of BMDS theory, command and control systems, and track correlation algorithms
• Experience with Agile methodology for software development
