System Engineer - Interfaces & Capability

Auria is looking to hire a System Engineer – Interfaces & Capability to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.

The role involves working with customers to define mission needs and technical implementation strategies, utilizing established architectural approaches to achieve technical solutions to complex problems. The solutions should be presented clearly to audiences composed of both customers and C2BMC solution-level management. The selected candidate will report to the Global ART PM and work directly with the technical team.

Essential Functions:

• Possesses demonstrable skills in full-cycle systems engineering of new capabilities.
• System interface design & Interface Control Document development.
• Apply results to enhance C2BMC for space mission applications.
• Understand systems engineering processes and principles and communicate capabilities to diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable with rapidly changing requirements, novel solutions, fast-paced activities, and tight deadlines.
• 3+ years of experience leading or contributing to an integrated team environment.
• Experience in defining, developing, and integrating systems-of-systems.
• Ability to analyze high-level needs and define structured approaches to refine capabilities into integrated requirements.
• Effective communication skills and experience in writing and implementing project engineering plans.

Basic Qualifications:

• Current and Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5 years experience, Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Experience in capability and requirement derivation, OPSCON and CONOPS development, system decomposition, and integration practices.
• Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework, BMDS theory, command and control systems, and track correlation algorithms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and systems engineering tools.
